The Fan Palm Quilt is both modern and timelessly classic. The entire quilt is foundation paper pieced and assembled in columns. Fabric used on cover and back is Kona Cotton solids and Essex Yarn-Dyed by Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Yardage requirements and layout instructions are included for baby, throw, full/queen and table runner sizes.

Instructions assume a knowledge of foundation paper piecing. If you are new to paper piecing or just want a thorough explanation of the construction of these blocks, please visit our Tutorials page. 

The download is a PDF file containing 12 pages. For best results print the first 4 instructional pages in color on 8.5” x 11” paper. Instructions within the pattern determine how many copies of the template pages need to be made. Print the template pages in grayscale on a dark enough setting to retain all details. Template pages are 11” x 17”.
